エレニ・カラインドルーはギリシャ生まれで、曲作りにもその民族性が強く出ているような気がします。彼女の’７９年から’８０年代後半にかけてのさまざまな映画音楽集との事ですが、このような渋い映画 音楽はなかなか聴いた事がありません。そして’９０年ヴァージョンとして録音しなおしたものも。音楽は全１７曲ありますが、もやのかかった夕暮れ時の、薄暗く、しかもゆっくり時の流れるような静かな感じです。どの曲も強い哀愁が感じられて、重みのある哀しい映画なのだなと思わせます。救いのない、あるいは少ないシリアスさ。そして、クラシックとの境目もあいまいな音楽。事実、彼女のアルバムはNew Seriesから出ているものも。ヤン・ガルバレクの参加曲は１、８、１４、１７曲目で「The Beekeeper」という映画のもの。
